Here's some answers to frequently asked questions about our programs. Your question
might be answered below:
Q: After I installed one of your programs, it changes my monitor resolution. Likewise,
after exiting the program, I have to manually change the resolution back to my original
settings. Why does this happen?
A: Most of our software does change your resolution to take the best advantage of our
high resolution graphics, however, your display should return to your normal settings after
you exit the program. If it does not, you may need to update your video driver and Microsoft’
s DirectX. Make you sure you’ve visited your computer manufacturer’s website and updated
your video or display
drivers. Also visit http://www.microsoft.com/directx to update DirectX.
Q: I don’t understand why I need to update DirectX and my video drivers, my PC is new.
Can you explain this to me?
A: Absolutely. Technology is constantly changing and while your PC may be new, there
could very possibly already be newer versions of DirectX and drivers out there for you. We
highly recommend using the latest drivers available for the best game compatibility and
performance.
Q: What is DirectX?
A: DirectX is a tool provided to software developers by Microsoft. It allows developers to
access the features of a wide variety of hardware easier by providing a single "language" to
use that will work on nearly any machine. DirectX is designed to work with Windows and
your specific hardware.
Q: What is a driver?
A: A driver is the piece of software that allows your operating system and the hardware
in your machine work together. Without a driver, Windows would not know how to use your
computer's hardware. It is very important that drivers for all devices - video card, sound
card, mouse, etc. - are kept as updated as possible.
Q: How do I find out if there are driver updates available for me?
A: You need to visit your PC manufacturer’s website. Most sites will list drivers in their
DOWNLOAD section or SUPPORT section.

Q: Is it possible to minimize the screen while still playing the game. It’s frustrating to
have to leave the game in the middle when I need to check e-mails.
A: No, the game itself cannot be ‘minimized’ in the typical Windows way. However, you
can press Ctrl-Esc on your keyboard to show your Task Bar and then you can click another
program to bring it to the front. Keep in mind, however that because the game is still
running, DirectX is still controlling your graphics and everything will look large until you click
back to the game and exit from it.
Q: When I open the game, it fills the entire screen and seems to be shifted to the left. I
cannot see all the game buttons like “OK” … how come?
A: You may have Large Fonts enabled, this could be causing the shift. XP has two
locations that determines font size. The first location is under Display Properties /
Appearance, you have the option of Normal, Large & Extra Large fonts. The second place is
under Display Properties / Settings / Advanced. You will see a DPI setting option. Make sure
it is set to Normal (96DPI) and not to Large (120DPI).
Q: I would like to look at the product help file outside of the game and maybe print it,
how do I do that?
A: Product Help Files are located on the SUPPORT page of the website under Product Title.
